- 1 large handful of spinach
- 3 frozen bananas
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 cups of water or nondairy milk of choice
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp flaxmeal
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger (or thumb size peeled fresh)
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric (or thumb size peeled fresh)
- Pinch of black pepper
Inflammation is painful and it can impact any age or gender.
Inflammation occurs when the immune system tries to prevent damage to the body. It can lead to pain and swelling. Pain and inflammation are elements of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and some other types of arthritis. Consuming antioxidants helps prevent the cell damage involved in these conditions. Greens like spinach are full of minerals that combat inflammation. Adding turmeric (with a pinch of black pepper for absorption) targets inflammation in the body, and it also known as the memory spice. A great way to combat inflammation is through nutrition!
