Kristy compassionately helps people reach the lives that give them meaning and purpose. Utilizing a variety of modalities in practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Changes, Trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Skills to uniquely meet each individual’s needs.
Kristy has a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She has specialized her career in the addictions field and completed an Addiction Careworker Diploma from McMaster University, the Opioid Treatment Certificate Program through the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health and a certificate in Harm Reduction Practices through York University. She has worked with all walks of life, from youth to adults. Working in the addiction/ mental health field she understands the stigma and the struggles that those using, loving someone who uses or has lost someone to addiction face in our society. Working from a harm reduction, client-centred, non-judgmental and solution-focused framework.
