Fiona graduated from Humber College in 2000 as a Child and Youth Worker. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Care at Ryerson University in 2008. She has also been a Registered Psychotherapist since 2015. Fiona has worked in a variety of settings supporting youth and their families including residential programs, day treatment, criminal justice, school boards and hospitals.
Fiona specializes in working with children, adolescents and transitional aged youth (ages 6- 24), experiencing behavioural, emotional, social and/or mental health issues. Fiona uses determined, initiated and evidence based interventions that enhance resiliency and reduce recidivism. Fiona’s passion is to use strength based approaches to help children, youth and their families, not only overcome the stigma of mental health but to help to engage and support young people towards achieving their goals. Her passion also includes engaging with the human spirit through use of a therapeutic rapport and addressing needs using a holistic approach.
