Dr. Sohail Malihi studied Medicine in Iran and graduated as a medical doctor (MD) in 1995.
Due to his passion and interest in skin conditions, he studied further and got his post graduate clinical diploma in Dermatology from Queen Mary university of London, in the UK.
Dr. Malihi worked in Iran, Oman and the UAE (Dubai) for about 20 years as family physician and GP dermatologist before moving to Canada.
During his practice, he realized that conventional medicine cannot help all his patients as the core of the diseases would remain untouched and after suppressing the symptoms, they could appear again. By learning about alternative medicine, he became interested in the philosophy of holistic approach and treating his patients by addressing the root cause of their complaints. That was the reason which convinced him to study naturopathic medicine at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto and he obtained his degree of Naturopathic Doctor in 2018. After completing his internship and passing licensing board exams in North America ( NPLEX 1 & 2) and also passing the provincial board exams, he got his license in Ontario and has been practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in different locations.
Dr. Malihi’s practice is not limited to the skin conditions and based on his experience as a family physician, he treats a large range of chronic and common medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol level, hormonal imbalance, food allergies among many others.
In his practice, acupuncture, botanical medicine, traditional chinese medicine, physical therapy including massage and cupping, lifestyle management and various supplements are the main remedies in treating his patients. He practices evidence-based medicine and chooses the right remedy for each patient based on the latest available research and data.
