Jayne became a Naturopathic Doctor first, falling in love with the principles of Naturopathic Medicine, which resonated profoundly.
Naturopathic Medicine is a 4-year post University study covering all aspects of physiology, pathology diagnosis and treatment in Natural modalities. It is a primary health-care system, which treats health conditions by utilizing the body’s inherent ability to heal. Naturopathic physicians aid the healing process by incorporating a variety of alternative methods based on the patient’s individual needs – nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Diet, lifestyle, and personal history are all considered when determining a health care regimen, using the following modalities.
• clinical nutrition
• botanical medicine
• traditional chinese medicine & acupuncture
• lifestyle counselling
It was during her studies to become a Naturopathic Doctor that she decided to treat as a Naturopathic Doctor; but to specialize in homeopathy.
It was with homeopathy that she saw the deepest healing. And so after graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine she went to Ontario’s top school in Homeopathy (The Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine) for 2 more years to become a Homeopathic Doctor. She also graduated from Louis Kleins 3 year master Clinicians coarse in homeopathy and has studied the homeopathic masters; Jan Sholten, Frans Vermeulen, Sankaran and Divya Chambra and more.
Homeopathy is a system of medicine based on the philosophy that “like cures like,” or “similar must be cured by similar.” The remedy must match the patient’s symptoms on all levels for the remedy to be considered “similar.” When the remedy matches the patient’s condition perfectly, the remedy is said to be the “simillimum.” This is the remedy that will produce complete healing.
Homeopathy’s miracle lies in its ability to treat the mental and emotional body and physical disease in tandem. As a result, homeopathy is truly holistic. While physical disease symptoms can be alleviated without healing the underlying mental and emotional disturbance, inevitably, the unhealed emotional pain will reappear on the physical level, sometimes in a more severe form.
The clinical emotional and psychological conditions for which homeopathy is most suitable:
• Anger • Mental illness
• Attention deficit disorder
• Excessive worry, panic
• Issues in relationships
• And much more
Examples of physical conditions homeopathy can treat:
• Skin conditions
• Digestive disturbances • Menopause symptoms
• And much more
“The highest ideal of therapy is to restore health rapidly, gently, permanently; to remove and destroy the whole disease in the shortest, surest, least harmful way, accordingly to clearly comprehensible principles.”
Homeopathy prides itself in being gentle, yet thorough. In addition, it aims to address the entire person, not just the disease, and not just the affected parts. In homeopathy (and naturopathic medicine) it is understood that the individual is more than the sum of its parts.
